New Grace, Arlington

 where grace changes everything

What shall we then say to these things?

In these times of high tension and complete despondence with what is going on in our country compounded by the coronavirus pandemic, I am reminded by the word in Romans 8:31...if God be for us, who can be against us? Let me encourage all of us as people of color that are feeling down, angry, violated, discriminated against, and devalued as human beings by police brutality, that because God is with us we can take refuge and comfort in the prayer of Saint Francis, that we will become an instrument of peace during these chaotic times:

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace:

where there is hatred, let me sow love;

where there is injury, pardon;

where there is doubt, faith;

where there is despair, hope;

where there is darkness, light;

where there is sadness, joy.

O divine Master, grant that I may not so much seek

to be consoled as to console,

to be understood as to understand,

to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive,

it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,

and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

It's a heart thing

Heart thing

Prov 17:22--A merry heart does good like medicine...

Joy has healing value, but gloom is sickening. Don't let the gloom of Coronavirus keep u down.

Take a hopeful & optimistic attitude that God's got this one too.

Let's celebrate the joy of the Lord for that is our strength against COVID-19.

The more we do this, the more surely we will keep our own spirits high.

What is your strength during this pandemic of Covid-19?
